DETROIT (AP) -- General Motors Co. said Tuesday that its September U.S. sales fell 11 percent as its full-size pickup trucks posted declines.
BY THE NUMBERS: The Detroit automaker said it sold 187,195 cars and trucks last month, down from 210,245 a year earlier.
TOP SELLERS: The Chevy Silverado pickup, which has just been redesigned, posted an 11 percent decline to 32,506, while the GMC Sierra pickup saw sales drop nearly 2 percent to 13,438. The Silverado by far is GM's top-selling vehicle.
HOT MODELS: Sales of the Cadillac ATS sports sedan, which was new in September of last year, more than quadrupled to 2,739. Chevy Malibu sales were up almost 30 percent to 14,487.
