Shopify and The Huffington Post Announce Business Competition Open to Canadian Entrepreneurs

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sep 16, 2013) - Competition offers mentorship from all-star entrepreneurs, including: Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Arianna Huffington,Tim Ferriss, Lil' Jon, Gary Vaynerchuk, Selita Ebanks, Chase Jarvis, and more.

Shopify, the industry-leading commerce platform, and one of Canada's fastest growing companies, today announced the launch of its fourth annual Build A Business Competition. The company has partnered with The Huffington Post and some of the industry's most successful entrepreneurs to help new and emerging stores grow their business.

To participate, entrepreneurs must open an online store and start selling products using Shopify. At the end of the competition, the Canadian store that sells the most over a two-month period will receive a $10,000 gift card and an exclusive meeting with their competition mentor.

The competition mentors are:

The Build A Business competition runs from October 1, 2013 to May 31, 2014, with each of the mentors providing exclusive advice and guidance along the way.
