NEW YORK (AP) -- Signet Jewelers Ltd., whose store brands include Kay Jewelers and Jared, has named Helen McCluskey, Eugenia Ulasewicz and Robert Stack as independent directors.
McCluskey is the former CEO of Warnaco Group Inc., which was purchased by rival clothing company PVH Corp. for $2.9 billion in February. Ulasewicz was the president of luxury clothing company Burberry Group PLC's U.S. unit until her retirement in March. Stacks served as food company Cadbury PLC's global head of human resources until he retired in 2008.
The Bermuda-based jewelry company said Thursday that McCluskey's appointment is effective on Aug. 1, while the appointments of Ulasewicz and Stack are effective on Sept. 1.
Signet has more than 1,400 stores in the U.S. under the names Kay Jewelers and Jared The Galleria of Jewelry. In the U.K., the company runs about 500 stores mostly under the brands H. Samuel and Ernest Jones.
