SmartMetric In-My-Card-Biometrics Adds 100% User Verification Without the Need of Pins or Passwords

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 26, 2015) - SmartMetric, Inc. (OTCQB: SMME) SmartMetric, the developer and manufacturer of "in-my-card-biometrics" payment and identity cards, says its fingerprint activated card uses a person's own biometrics to validate their identity before the card is able to be used.

"This level of authentication of the card's user is a huge leap forward in security across a number of industries such as credit and debit cards to identity and access control cards," said SmartMetric's President & CEO Chaya Hendrick today.

The SmartMetric biometric activated card is self-powered with a rechargeable battery, inside-the-card fingerprint reader that uses the persons' fingerprint to activate the card's EMV/Smart Card chip prior to a payments transaction or physical access.

There are over 3.4 billion EMV credit and debit chip cards issued globally. The SmartMetric biometric card has been developed to work with the existing EMV chip and reader infrastructure such as point of sale machines and ATM's.
