SmithGroupJJR Promotes Andrew Dunlap and David Frassrand to Principal

DETROIT, MI--(Marketwire -01/10/12)- SmithGroupJJR, one of the nation's leading architecture, engineering and planning firms, has promoted Andrew Dunlap and David Frassrand to Principal.

Andrew Dunlap, AIA, CDT, LEED AP
A member of the SmithGroupJJR Building Technology Studio, Andrew Dunlap, AIA, CDT, LEED AP, is known for his extensive knowledge of the development of exterior building envelopes. This includes roofing, skylights, windows and waterproofing, with special expertise in thermal and vapor analysis.

Dunlap has leveraged his mastery of advanced computerized analysis and simulation tools in his work, including for large projects like the MGM Grand Detroit Casino, General Services Administration JFK Federal Building Window Replacement, and the Smithsonian Institute Arts and Industries Building Revitalization.

A founding member of the Building Enclosure Council Greater Detroit Chapter, Dunlap also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy, where he teaches Construction I and Construction II courses.

Dunlap graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with a master's of architecture degree.

David Frassrand
David Frassrand is a network analyst in SmithGroupJJR's Information Technologies department. He has been integral to the firm's ability to successfully take on new technologies while simultaneously managing large scale projects. A technology expert and trusted advisor, Frassrand has allowed SmithGroupJJR to quickly adapt to new technologies. Since 2010, he has successfully managed the day-to-day operations of all corporate infrastructure.

Frassrand joined SmithGroupJJR in 2000. He is a graduate of Wayne State University and earned a BS in business administration focusing on management information systems.
