KID PRESIDENT'S GUIDE TO BEING AWESOME is a book for all ages, set to be released in the U.S. on February 3rd, 2015, through HarperCollins Children's Books.
"Writing a book is as cool as pizza... no wait... dancing," Novak says.
Actor Rainn Wilson, co-creator of SoulPancake (producers of Kid President), will be writing the book's introduction. "Kid President is all about getting kids and grown-ups to work together to make the world more awesome," Wilson explains. "We believe this book will take people on a joyful adventure by offering tons of creative, hilarious ideas and inspiration for awesomeness. Plus, it will help our secret agenda to start corndog parties in bookstores and libraries everywhere."
David Linker, Executive Editor of HarperCollins Children's Books agrees: "If anyone can make the world more awesome just by writing a book, it's Kid President. The book's got it all -- humor, advice, corndogs, and awesome interviews with awesome people. Parents and kids are going to love this."
This interactive and inspirational book will be jam-packed with pep talks, a list of 100 awesome ideas to help make the world more awesome, stories of inspiring kids who are changing the world, contributions from fans, guest columns and essays, and interviews with Kid President's famous friends. (In the past, Kid President has interviewed President Barack Obama, Steve Carell, and Beyonce, just to name a few!)
The motivation to create the book is summed up by Brad Montague: "My favorite thing about what has happened with 'Kid President' is that we've gotten to meet and learn from thousands of people who care about making the world a little more awesome. For me, this book will be a success if people not only read it, but live it out."
North American rights were negotiated by David Linker, Executive Editor, HarperCollins Children's Books and Lisa Sharkey, Senior VP, Director of Creative Development, HarperCollins Publishers with Shabnam Mogharabi, CEO/Executive Producer at SoulPancake and talent and literary agency, WME.
The book is available for pre-sale immediately online at retailers like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, IndieBound, and more, and retails for $21.99.
