The telecom firm will likely prevail over Dish Networks (DISH) in a takeover battle for wireless broadband service provider Clearwire (CLWR), analysts say. The satellite broadcaster offered $3.30 per Clearwire share, topping Sprint Nextel's (NYSE:S) bid of $2.97 per share. Clearwire shares surged 7.2% on anticipation of a higher Sprint counter. Analysts think Dish won't win Clearwire, but instead is trying to pressure Sprint to the bargaining table to hammer out a network-sharing agreement. Sprint shares fell 1.5%. Dish rose 2.5%.
