FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

A recent Staples survey finds that more than half (57 percent) of respondents feel that shopping for the perfect gift can be difficult, a process made harder by shopping at the last minute. For those in a last-minute rush, Staples makes it easy to find the perfect gift with a wide assortment of holiday options.

“For last-minute shoppers, it’s crucial to be organized to make the most out of the last few days of shopping,” said Annette Joseph, Staples Holiday Council member, organizing guru and author of Picture Perfect Parties. “To make the most out of limited time, find a one-stop shop, like Staples, that offers the biggest selection for the most recipients on your list.”

Perfect holiday gifts that last minute shoppers can find at Staples include:

Tech Enthusiast: Technology is a must-have gift. Consider the colorful Beats Solo HD on-ear headphones ($199.99), Monster® iSport Strive In-Ear Headphones ($69.99) or the Beats by Dr. Dre Pill Portable Speaker ($199.95) – a compact, Bluetooth wireless speaker that provides amazing sound. For that tech lover who has everything, consider Staples Connect, which lets customers’ home or office technology interact and be controlled by a single app ($99 on Staples.com or select stores). Tech accessories make great gifts too – look for colorful cases for a smart phone, tablet or laptop that embrace the person’s personality and style.

Co-Worker and the Boss: Look for fun office supplies and accessories to brighten the office. Poppin office supplies add cheer to any workspace, with writing tools, staplers, and notebooks in bright colors. For a more classic look, try the quilted, patent leather Staples Arc notebook ($23.99). Or consider something more personal, like a Fred & Friends Mr. Tea Infuser ($10.99). Games, such as Appletters ($14.95) or Bananagrams ($14.95) are fun to bring as gifts to an office party gift exchange.

Ungiftable: For the hard to shop for, consider out-of-the box, innovative gift ideas. For the chef, iGrill Wireless Bluetooth Grilling & Cooking Thermometer ($79.99) communicates with your smart phone to let you know when food is ready. For the gardener, the Koubachi Wireless Bluetooth Plant Sensor ($129.99) calculates an individual care plan for plants in your home or office. Kids will enjoy the Crayola Photo Mashup Pack ($19.99) – it’s easy to enhance, manipulate and transform photos into incredible digital collages. For a personal touch, consider Staples Sports and Art prints of the recipient’s favorite sports team, cityscape or artwork. And, now until Dec. 28, all Sports and Art prints are 50 percent off.

About the Survey

The Staples Winter Holiday Survey was conducted by Kelton between October 16th and October 21st, 2013 among 1,071 nationally representative Americans ages 18 and over, using an email invitation and an online survey. Quotas are set to ensure reliable and accurate representation of the entire U.S. population ages 18 and over. Results of any sample are subject to sampling variation. The magnitude of the variation is measurable and is affected by the number of interviews and the level of the percentages expressing the results. In this particular study, the chances are 95 in 100 that a survey result does not vary, plus or minus, by more than 3 percentage points from the result that would be obtained if interviews had been conducted with all persons in the universe represented by the sample. The margin of error for any subgroups will be slightly higher. Kelton is a leading global insights firm serving as a partner to more than 100 of the Fortune 500 and thousands of smaller companies and organizations. Utilizing a wide range of customized, innovative research techniques and staff expertise in marketing, branding, PR, media, and business strategy; Kelton helps drive our clients' businesses forward.
