THE RESULTS: Rite Aid Corp. reported a smaller third-quarter loss Thursday as its expenses decreased and revenue grew for the second consecutive quarter.
REWARDS: The company said its revenue grew about 2 percent. Rite Aid has given 1.4 million flu shots this season, more than twice the number it gave a year ago. It gained another 3 million members in its Wellness Plus program, bringing total membership to about 47 million a year and a half after the rewards program was introduced.
THE OUTLOOK: Rite Aid also projected a smaller fiscal-year loss.
