STAFF VISIT: News Corp. chief executive Rupert Murdoch flew to Britain from the U.S. to tour The Sun's London newsroom amid a simmering staff revolt.

WHAT HE SAID: Murdoch warned staff at his scandal-hit British tabloid that he won't protect reporters found to have broken the law, but he pledged to restore the newspaper's status.

COMING UP: He plans to stay in London for several weeks. He also confirmed plans to soon launch a new Sunday edition to replace the shuttered News of the World.
