MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire -01/08/12)- Some lucky motorcyclists woke up to a brand new motorbike on Christmas morning according to research from Swinton Bikes.
The bike insurance retailer more than doubled the number of bike insurance policies it sold over the festive period compared to the previous year, with a number of them being sold on Christmas Day.
Some motorcyclists would have got an upgraded model while others received their very first bike.
Swinton Bikes is offering some useful tips for bikers taking their new bike out for the very first time.

get caught in heavy rain or high winds as this may knock your confidence

before your intended manoeuvre
