Teledyne DALSA's Latest Image Sensors, Area Scan Cameras and X-Ray Detectors Showcased at SPIE Photonics West 2012

CMOS and CCD Imaging Technology for Scientific Applications, Astronomy and Extreme Environments

WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire -01/19/12)- Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company and a global leader in digital imaging and MEMs, will showcase its latest advances at the SPIE Photonics West 2012 conference being held in San Francisco, January 21 - 26, 2012. Teledyne DALSA will exhibit in booth 4516.

Teledyne DALSA will showcase and demonstrate its newest advancements in digital image sensors, cameras and detectors, including:

Falcon2 Global Shutter Cameras - Teledyne DALSA's Falcon2 high performance CMOS camera series is comprised of three high performance models, including the 12M model, which delivers the industry's highest resolution in its category. The Falcon2 incorporates the company's latest CMOS imaging technology making these cameras ideal for more detailed inspection of objects in a shorter amount of time. Typical applications include automated optical inspection (AOI) for electronics manufacturing, semiconductor wafer inspection, flat panel display inspection, as well as solar panel inspection.

Advanced TDI X-ray Detectors - Teledyne DALSA's Argus platform is an innovative TDI CCD digital X-ray detector for high resolution Digital Radiography applications. The cameras provide large field of view and are customizable for unique X-ray applications.

CCD High Quantum Efficiency Sensors -These sensors are distinguished by very high light sensitivity. Combined with the low dark current performance, low noise amplifier design and the unparalleled linear dynamic range, they are engineered for low light scientific imaging applications.

Highly Sensitive, Cooled Scientific Camera - Based on Teledyne DALSA's High Quanta series of sensors, this camera is designed to meet exacting scientific applications requiring high sensitivity and low noise performance. The sensor is ideal for advanced scientific applications such as astronomy imaging. Combined with the low dark current performance, low noise amplifier design and the unparalleled linear dynamic range, they are engineered for low light scientific imaging applications.
