MEXICO CITY (AP) -- Mexican broadcaster Televisa says its profit fell 17 percent in the fourth-quarter of 2011 due to foreign exchange losses.
Grupo Televisa SAB owns Mexico's biggest television network and is the world's top producer of Spanish-language TV programs.
Its earnings report Thursday says it had a profit of 2.17 billion pesos ($155 million) in the October-December quarter, compared to 2.62 billion pesos during the same period of 2010.
The report says Televisa's revenue totaled 18.29 billion pesos ($1.3 billion) in the quarter. That was up 11 percent from revenue of 16.49 billion pesos a year earlier.
Televisa attributes the revenue gain to the growth of its cable television companies.
