WARWICK, R.I. (AP) -- The number of passengers at Rhode Island's T.F. Green Airport fell 6 percent in February.
The Rhode Island Airport Corp. released statistics Thursday showing that about 249,600 passengers traveled through the state's main airport last month. That was down from 265,800 a year earlier.
The number of passengers at Green has been on a steady decline. The airport saw a 6 percent drop overall last year compared with 2011.
The airport corporation last month announced that Kelly Fredericks had been hired as its new president and chief executive. He is a civil engineer and private pilot from Boca Raton, Fla., who has worked at airports in Erie, Pa.; Pittsburgh; and Harrisburg, Pa.
