The Thai Fund, Inc. (the “Fund”) today declared the following dividend.

Given the size of the dividend, pursuant to New York Stock Exchange rules, the ex-date will be February 3, 2014.
Under the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, this dividend would be included in taxable income in 2013, for those shareholders subject to tax. Shareholders should consult their own tax advisors, in particular, if they are planning to sell their shares.

The amount of net investment income to be paid by the Fund is determined in accordance with federal income tax regulations. It is possible that all or a portion of the Fund’s fiscal year 2013 dividend may be a return of capital and that determination cannot yet be made.
The amount of dividends paid by the Fund may vary from time to time. Past amounts of dividends are no guarantee of future dividend payment amounts.
The final determination of the source and tax characteristics of all distributions in 2013 will be made after the end of the year.
