NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire -04/03/12)- TradeCard, Inc., the supply chain collaboration and global trade platform used by more than 10,000 retailers, brands, manufacturers and service providers, announced today that Founder and CEO Kurt Cavano is handing over day-to-day executive officer responsibilities to new CEO Sean Feeney to strengthen the TradeCard management team and optimize business growth opportunities. The transition, which took effect April 2, 2012, allows Cavano to invest more time shaping TradeCard's market strategy and driving meaningful interactions with brands, retailers and trading partners around the world. Cavano's official title becomes Founder, Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer.
Feeney comes to TradeCard with deep executive experience leading larger B2B service providers. Most recently, he was an Operating Executive with Golden Gate Capital and CEO of Inovis, where he led the company through a rapid phase of growth. Feeney will oversee all operations to sharpen TradeCard's strategic focus on product innovation, differentiated market presence, world-class sales execution and superlative customer service delivery.
"TradeCard has a unique opportunity to transform supply chain transactions and collaboration," said Feeney. "As head of the TradeCard executive team, I inherit a cloud-based supply chain platform that has already reshaped the financial supply chain and is positioned to completely change the way trading partners communicate and collaborate in the future. Kurt will continue to be the visionary behind TradeCard and his new role provides him greater bandwidth not only to shape our market strategy, but to become more vocal on issues, trends and challenges relating to global trade, sourcing and cloud technology."
Feeney is a longtime technology chief executive, recently serving as CEO of Inovis, which combined with GXS to create the world's largest B2B integration services and e-commerce provider with 40,000 customers worldwide. He previously served as Executive Vice President at CheckFree (acquired by Fiserv), Chief Operating Officer at Clarus Corporation, and Executive Vice President at Dun & Bradstreet Software.
"This transformation will maximize value-creation opportunities for TradeCard's customers, investors and employees," said Cavano. "Sean brings the ideal skillset and background to lead TradeCard through its next phase of rapid growth. His leadership and guidance will direct our execution strategy as we deliver new services for the small and medium business (SMB) and supplier markets, unveil a platform-as-a-service toolkit for developers, and expand our presence in Europe and Asia."
Cavano will continue his involvement as the Chairman of the TradeCard Board of Directors contributing to all corporate governance initiatives. Cavano and Feeney are based out of TradeCard's headquarters in New York City.
