Tutor Perini unit awarded three new projects

Tutor Perini announced three new projects awarded to its subsidiary, Roy Anderson. The unit was giving a contract from Scarlet pearl Casino Resort valued at approximately $122M. The scope of work includes construction of a 15-story, 300-room hotel with 61K sf of gaming space. Construction is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2014 with substantial completion expected in late 2015. The contract value will be included as part of the company’s reported Q2 backlog. The unit also announced a contract at the DuPont Bulk Handling Facility valued at approximately $77.5M. The scope of work includes pre-construction and construction management services to provide ship-to-storage receiving conveyor systems, vertical storage capability and storage-to-rail or truck load-out conveyor systems. Construction is expected to begin in Q3 with a substantial completion expected by June 2016. This construction management contract will be executed under a joint venture between Roy Anderson Corp. and Yates Construction. The unit also announced a contract with Veterans Administration valued at approximately $31.1M. The scope of work includes completing renovation of Buildings 1 and 2, comprising a total of 135,200 gsf. Construction is expected to begin in the Q4 with substantial completion expected in January 2017. The contract value is expected to be included as part of the company’s reported Q3 backlog.
