Unisys Inc. (UIS) recently announced a strategic agreement with Fusion Telecommunications International, Inc.
As per the agreement, Fusion will offer Unisys’ complete suite of communication and cloud service solutions suite to enterprises in the U.S, initially focused on healthcare. Fusion will emphasize on Unisys Stealth Solution Suite of cybersecurity software, which enables organizations address the growing challenge of cyber security breaches.
The NSA-certified solutions use patented security techniques that block data communication end points, such as end user devices, data center servers and applications. Consequently, these end points get concealed on the network as targets for hackers.
Given the growing menace of hacking and information compromises, enterprises are on the lookout for advanced cyber security solutions to secure their data from hacking and malware attacks.
The Stealth Solution from Unisys uses a military-grade encryption and unique "bit-splitting" technology. This technology stores data in several packets as it moves through the network and to storage devices. It then authenticates and reassembles the information packets for authorized users. The technology also prevents disruption of business operation as it does not require enterprises to changes to firewalls and network technology.
Subsequently, Unisys Stealth Solutions empower organisations to prevent such attacks as well as facilitate significant cost savings associated with data breaches. This in turn reduces operating expenses, saves capital and simplifies network infrastructure.
Protection of data also makes it easy for enterprises to adopt cloud computing. Unisys expects that the association with Fusion will enable it to serve this technology to a broader client base. Additionally, Fusion and Unisys also plan to offer Unisys services to help clients evaluate, design, build, manage and secure cloud environments.
In the long run, we maintain a Neutral recommendation on Unisys. However, we have a Zacks #1 Rank on the stock, which translates into a short-term rating of Strong Buy.
