United Continental (UAL) is taking Boeing's (BA) grounded 787 Dreamliner out of its flying plans through June, except for a planned Denver-to-Tokyo route. Meanwhile, Boeing proposed a long-term fix to the FAA for its Dreamliner troubles, including battery problems and fuel leaks. FAA, Japanese and other safety officials grounded all 787s in Jan. Boeing's plan calls for revamping the lithium ion batteries. Japan said it has ID'd the cause of fuel leaks — an improper paint job that led to a switch malfunction. Boeing shares rose 0.9% to 76.66.
