US CFTC votes to propose new position limits rule


WASHINGTON, Nov 5 (Reuters) - The U.S. Commodity FuturesTrading Commission on Tuesday voted to propose new rules settingposition limits for traders, reviving efforts to curb commoditymarket speculation after a court rejected an earlier version ofthe plan.

The commission voted three-to-one to propose the new rules.Commissioners also unanimously voted for a proposal related toaggregating accounts under the position limits rule.
