Chinese regulators have explicitly stated that Usana (USNA), a developer of science-based nutritional and personal care products, is engaged in a multi-level marketing scheme, which is illegal in China, according to short selling blog Citron Research. Moreover, the regulators have also indicated that regulators and police have initiated criminal probes of the company, Citron adds. There is also evidence that Usana sales representatives have been "apprehended and put out of business," Citron alleges. Usana hasn't disclosed these developments to ivnestors, Citron alleges.
