PLANO, Texas (AP) -- ViewPoint Financial Group Inc. said Thursday it has named two banking industry executives as its new chief lending and chief risk officers.
Thomas Swiley, a 35-year veteran in commercial banking, will serve as chief lending officer in charge of ViewPoint's corporate banking, entrepreneurial banking, commercial real estate and warehouse lending divisions. His career includes six years as president and chief operating officer of Bank of Texas and previous positions with Bank of America.
Scott Almy, who has nearly 20 years of bank regulatory expertise, will join ViewPoint as chief risk officer and general counsel, heading the credit, risk, compliance and legal functions of the company and bank. He has been the managing member of a private law firm in Dallas since 2009 and previously spent 15 years at Guaranty Financial Group.
Both executives will join the company July 16.
ViewPoint Financial, the Plano, Texas-based parent of ViewPoint Bank, operates 31 community bank offices.
Shares of the company rose 4 cents to close at $15.98 on Thursday.
