Visa Celebrates Small Business Week with Entrepreneur W. Brett Wilson

Visa's #GoodBusy, Visa SavingsEdge programs designed to help small business owners

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct 17, 2013) - Visa Canada (@VisaBiz_CA) is teaming up with famed Canadian business icon W. Brett Wilson (@WBrettWilson) to celebrate Small Business Week. Wilson, a philanthropist, entrepreneur and author of Redefining Success: Still Making Mistakes, has partnered with Visa Canada to help Canadian businesses stay 'good busy'. Visa's #GoodBusy campaign offers small business owners insight and advice to help them effectively manage their cash flow and productivity so they can focus on what matters - building their business.

"Entrepreneurs and small business owners are always busy. But there's busy and then there's good busy," noted Wilson. "Busy is being stretched to the limit, trying to do a million things at once, and feeling out of control. With Visa's Good Busy campaign we are helping business owners strategically manage their time and resources, so they can ultimately focus on growing their business, and future."

As part of the #GoodBusy campaign, Visa Canada will be posting articles and videos through its small business Twitter and Facebook feeds, with helpful business management tips related to productivity, HR, marketing and cash flow. Business owners can join the conversation and share their own tips using the #GoodBusy hashtag.

To help business owners stay #GoodBusy, Visa has also launched the Visa SavingsEdge program, which automatically provides enrolled Visa Business cardholders with discounts on purchases at participating merchants.

"With Visa SavingsEdge, the discounts are automatically applied," said Wilson. "The savings appear as credits on cardholders' account statements and require no time commitment, helping business owners stay good busy."

As part of the Good Busy campaign Wilson will be speaking at the upcoming Art of Small Business conference in Toronto on October 21, 2013. The full-day seminar will feature discussions and presentations from a diverse group of authors and thought leaders, who will share tools, techniques and real world experience covering today's most critical small business issues.
