Equity indexes pushed higher again on Tuesday, along with the VIX.
The S&P 500 was up just shy of 10 points to yet another record high of 1771.95. It was essentially at the high of the day though it very briefly broke above 1772. Support is at 1725.
The Nasdaq-100 added 9 points to close at 3391.75. It was unable to get back above Friday's 3400 level, a new 13-year closing high. Support is at 3250.
The Russell 2000 rose 3 points to 1121.07 and made an intraday high of 1122.64 at the open. Both were new records for the small cap index. It has support at 1087.
The VIX was also higher, picking up 0.1 to 13.41. It climbed through the afternoon even with the SPX rallying, getting as high as 13.63 before dropping some of that into the close.
The VIX futures were mixed. The November futures finished at 14.45 with December at 15.45. That had the VXX down fractionally to 12.83.
