MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) -- Vermont lawmakers are returning to the Statehouse in hopes of wrapping of their business for the year.

Both House and Senate convene at 10 a.m. Monday. Lawmakers hope to wrap up for the year Tuesday.

The House is scheduled to take up the Senate's proposed changes to aid-in-dying legislation and marijuana decriminalization.

The Senate, meanwhile, will be debating legislation to crack down on the use of opiates and methamphetamines and lengthen the statute of limitations for sex crimes against children.

Negotiations continue over tax and spending plans for the next fiscal year.
