TWST: What do you believe will be the next wave of innovation in your industry, and how are you staying at the leading edge of technology to be a part of it?

Mr. Oakes: Let me explain the first one a little bit further, because I think that's critical. I think we are the next wave of innovation because there is so much paper out there and automation play is in trend. These transformation/automation initiatives are the cutting edge, and most companies are behind that curve. So I kind of feel like I'm a little bit out on the ledge with my offering, and I'm waiting for somebody to come pull me back when I think about it, because quite frankly, we are 60% undeployed or unpenetrated. You've got a lot of people who are slow decision makers, not taking as much risk and not getting automated and transformed as quickly. That speaks to the 40% that are already there that are getting efficiencies, and if you go to our website, www.directinsite.com, you can look at the case studies of some of our customer wins and really see the financial benefits of these types of transformation initiatives both on the AR and the AP side.

We focus a lot not just on the application interface, but also on the user interface, because I think it's going to be computers talking to computers, and these automation plays are really going to fit right into that. For example, the ability for an Oracle system to talk to an SAP system specifically in these large integrated B2B environments. This is not a B2C play; this is not paying your American Express bill. This is IBM submitting their invoices to Siemens and having it fully integrated through one portal. So I think the next wave of technology is going to be in the user interface as opposed to the application interface, because it's not going to be people looking at it, but computer systems looking.
