NEW YORK (AP) -- Independent energy company Warren Resources has named Philip Epstein as CEO and chairman.
Epstein, 56, takes over the CEO post from Espy Price, who has been interim chairman and CEO since May when Norman Swanton stepped down from the positions. Swanton is the company's founder.
Price will remain as a board member, Warren Resources Inc. said on Wednesday.
Epstein is co-founder and managing director of privately held international oil and gas company Calypso Energy LLC. He was also active in the founding of Belco Oil & Gas Corp. and held senior executive roles there.
Shares of Warren Resources were unchanged at $2.75 in morning trading.
