PORT ST. LUCIE, FL--(Marketwired - Apr 1, 2014) - Water Technologies International, Inc. (OTC Pink: WTII) (
The water resources of the South Pacific are affected by both severe water quantity shortages and logistics of adequate water supply. In the South Asian and Pacific Islands, the basic service infrastructure struggles to meet the needs of the influx of people that have come in search of economic opportunities and better access to public services. Resource experts say many of these countries face a potential water crisis as a result. Water authorities in these countries struggle to meet the water demands of the rapidly expanding population, due to pipe restrictions and the limited and aged pipe networks. The current water shortages in many places are in fact the result of mandatory rationing. However, those without piped water have no supply to accordingly manage.
Water Technologies Inc.'s CEO, William Scott Tudor, said, "After seeing natural disasters in the South Pacific I knew our products could make a difference in this area. The warm and humid climate is perfect all year long for generating water from air. I am proud to sign up Clean Water Pacific as our distributor in that part of the world. They have already installed an AWG on the ground and are showcasing the product. This is a huge market for Water Technologies based on the shortage of clean drinking water and an important market for us to penetrate. The need for adequate water supplies to sustain life and provide water for industrial real estate and agriculture projects continues!"
Clean Water Pacific, Inc.'s, CEO, Jon Jeffery, said, "Clean Water Pacific is proud to be the newest member of the GR8 Water family of distributors, servicing most of the Pacific Islands. The interest in GR8 Water products in the Pacific Islands, where high temperatures and high humidity are constants throughout the year, is outstanding. Clean Water Pacific donated the first atmospheric water generator to a School in Guam to provide pure drinking water for the children. This demonstration unit is already in place until a purchase order can be approved to allow units to be installed across all schools in Guam. Schools, hospitals and emergency relief organizations are especially excited to receive this sustainable green technology."
