Internet-Software Stock Fetches Rich Premium

Websense agreed to be acquired by Vista Equity Partners for $24.75 a share in cash, or about $1 billion in total. That's a nice premium, and WBSN is up almost 30 percent before the bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

JA Solar Results Better Than Expected

JA Solar reported a first-quarter loss of $0.85 on revenue of $270 million. It's only followed by two analysts, but it still beat those estimates by a healthy margin. The loss was expected to be $1.03 a share and revenue of only $226.5 million was anticipated. JASO gains more than 12 percent in early trading.

XenoPort Drops MS Drug on Poor Trial Results

XenoPort announced it will stop developing its arbaclofen placarbil multiple sclerosis treatment after a trial failed to show "that AP provided statistically significant improvement relative to placebo." XNPT drops 27 percent in the premarket.
