Hidden gems are stocks that are followed only by a handful of Wall Street analysts and which the rest of the stock market doesn’t pay much attention to but they should because their fundamentals are strong. Less than a handful of analysts follow these two small cap companies.
American Woodmark makes custom kitchen cabinets in Virginia. Fiscal first quarter sales rose 12% and margins improved. It is expected to grow its earnings by 21% this year.
ANI Pharmaceutical produces generic and branded drug products in Minnesota. It just recently launched a flurry of new generic drugs, including an anti-cancer drug, which are expected to boost the bottom line.
Earnings are expected to soar this year while its valuation remains attractive. ANI has a forward P/E of just 17.
