NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Wheels Up, the newly-launched revolutionary membership-based private aviation company that eliminates fixed costs and provides unparalleled flexibility, announced today that it will sponsor the sixth annual Notah Begay III Foundation Challenge (NB3 Challenge). As the official private aviation partner of the event, Wheels Up will arrange flights for participants and VIP guests, as well as sponsor a hole-in-one opportunity awarding complimentary hours on the new Beechcraft King Air 350i aircraft selected for the Wheels Up program.

The annual fundraising event in support of the Notah Begay III Foundation (NB3F) mission to raise awareness and funding for the improved health and wellness of Native American youth nationwide will be held at Turning Stone Resort Casino’s world-class Atunyote® Golf Club in Verona, NY on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. The event is headlined by 14-time major champion and 79-time PGA TOUR winner Tiger Woods, and includes PGA TOUR stars such as Lee Westwood, Rickie Fowler, Charl Schwartzel, K.J. Choi and Henrik Stenson.

“Through Wheels Up’s generous involvement and the partnership with Notah Begay III Foundation, NB3F is able to continue our commitment to ensure that Native American youth are given the healthy opportunity to be engaged in positive activities that can promote their well-being and success as young adults,” said Notah Begay. “We are pleased and thankful to have Wheels Up as our partner in the 2013 Notah Begay III Foundation Challenge, and we look forward to working with them for years to come.”

Through the support of participating elite golfers and spectators who flock to Turning Stone as well as a strong partnership with Oneida Indian Nation, the NB3 Challenge has raised more than $4 million in the past five years. All proceeds from the tournament directly benefit NB3F and its ongoing work in Native communities. The core of NB3F’s mission is to reduce the incidences of obesity and type 2 diabetes, and advance the lives of Native American children through evidence-based sports, health and wellness programming. NB3F has established itself as a leader in research, advocacy and strategic grant-making in Native American communities, beyond its proven record of developing sustainable, replicable, evidence-based programs.
