Where people love their jobs most and the top jobs there

Loving or hating a job may have something to do with where a person lives.

Monster (MWW) and Brandwatch analyzed over 1 million tweets during a 12-month period. They found that people tweeted “I love my job” about four times more than they tweeted “I hate my job”.

Depending on the time of year, that ratio could change. Though early summer sees the most tweets from people loving their jobs, it’s also when people took to Twitter (TWTR) to say how much they hate their jobs.

But between the months of October and December, five times as many people say they “love” their jobs compared to those who “hate” their jobs. That’s also the time of year when job Monster sees the fewest amount of job searches.

Where a person lives and works appears to have at least something to do with their propensity to love or hate where they work. The Northeast generally sees the lowest ratio of people loving versus hating their jobs.

However Florida, despite being known as the “Sunshine State”, doesn’t have such a sunny outlook compared to the rest of the country when it comes to their workplace. Just 2.9 times as many people “love” compared to “hate” their jobs. That’s a sharp contrast to Western states, where that ratio can get as high as 9 times.

So what kind of jobs and skills are most popular in the states where people love their jobs most? Monster and Brandwatch mashed the data and found the following:
