WASHINGTON, Sept 16 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama'snomination to head the Federal Reserve after Ben Bernanke leaveswill be announced "in the fall," White House spokesman JayCarney said on Monday, suggesting the announcement would nothappen this week.
"He expects to have an announcement in the fall," Carneytold reporters at a briefing. "And calendar watchers would notethat we are still in the summer."
The autumnal equinox is on Sunday.
