AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Whole Foods Market Inc. said Friday that it has promoted two of its regional leaders to its executive team.
The natural and organic grocer said that David Lannon and Ken Meyer, who currently work as regional presidents, have been promoted to executive vice presidents of operations. The company's 12 regional presidents will report to them.
Whole Foods said Lannon, 46, has more than 25 years of experience, working in a number of capacities for the company. Meyer, 43, has been with Whole Foods Market for 17 years. Both worked early on in their careers for grocery chains that were eventually acquired by Whole Foods.
They will begin transitioning into their new roles over the next month.
