Today, WholeLife Companies completed the purchase of 32 acres in Cibolo Canyons, across the street from the entrance to the J.W. Marriott Hill Country Resort and Spa and the two PGA Tournament Players Club golf courses, to build a $55 million, 154-unit luxury active adult living community. The transaction purchase price was $7.7 million, and the seller was Forestar Group, Inc., a real estate company based in Austin and the developer of Cibolo Canyons, a unique 2,100 acre master planned community located north of San Antonio.

“We are very thankful to be working with Forestar and John Pierret, whose has a vision for Cibolo Canyons that is very exciting,” said John B. Lowery, CEO of the WholeLife Companies. “We are profoundly honored that they want us to be a part of their impressive community.”

WholeLife Companies develops and builds lease-based communities that fulfill market preferences for healthy living, integrated fitness and wellness in a maintenance free environment, without requiring a large capital outlay for purchase. WholeLife communities are a decidedly upscale lease-based concept designed to support a better, smarter, healthier and more convenient lifestyle.

The WholeLife Traditions community in Cibolo Canyon will be a 154-unit development, with units from 1500 to 2000 square feet, and will have the look and feel of fine traditional houses appropriate to the surrounding community. Landscaping, sidewalks, and streetlights complete the look and feel of a traditional American neighborhood. The community includes an expansive and functional WholeLife Club as a focal point for neighborhood life; containing space for gatherings and events, a state-of-the-art fitness center, pool, game room and community services such as the concierge. Everything is included in monthly rental fees.

In addition, WholeLife has identified additional locations for further communities, including the Woodlands in Houston, Austin, and Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; Charlotte, NC; Hilton Head, SC; and Oklahoma City, OK.
