CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) -- The second annual Wyoming Broadband Summit is scheduled to be held on Oct. 29 in Cheyenne.
The event hosted by the governor's office brings together leaders from technology and many other sectors in Wyoming to discuss opportunities and challenges in the industry.
Gov. Matt Mead says Internet access has improved significantly in Wyoming but more needs to be done.
Mead says the summit is a way to get the state's emerging technology sector together and inform industry, the public, state government and others about how to build on its successes.
This year's summit features discussions about the role broadband plays in economic and social impacts, data centers, mobile and wireless connections, and other sectors in Wyoming.
