Plunges on Lower Sales, Guidance

The sportswear retailer said October same-store sales rose just 0.6 percent far below the 4.6 percent gain expected by analysts. Zumiez also cut its third-quarter earnings forecast to $0.38-$0.39 a share, compared with earlier guidance of $0.42 to $0.45. ZUMZ is down 15.88 percent to $21.30 on tradeMONSTER's extended-hours platform.


Ellie Mae Beats on Top, Bottom Lines

The provider of software for mortgage companies reported third-quarter earnings of $0.35 a share on revenue of $27.5 million. Analysts had expected only $0.21 and $24.64 million respectively. ELLI is up 10.6 percent to $27.65 in pre-market trading.


iPhone 5 Helps Push Cirrus Higher

The semiconductor maker, which supplies chips used in Apple's iPhone 5, last night reported adjusted quarterly earnings of $0.79 per share on revenues of $193.7 million, well above the consensus forecast of $0.71 EPS and $180.8 million in revenues. CRUS is up 2.11 percent to $41.59 this morning.
