Gender Wage Gap: By the numbers

in spite of women's gain in education and advancement in the workplace, wage equality between the genders persists. The pay gap exist at the very beginning of their careers. For women one year after college graduation, they earn about 80% of what the male colleagues earn. The gap widens after 10 years, with women earning about 69% of what their male colleagues earn.
