Both candidates know that small business owners are watching. During Wednesday's presidential debate, the candidates mentioned small business more than two dozen times.

In the final stretch of the presidential campaign, President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney will be judged on their perceived abilities to improve our economy. To gauge the mood of the electorate, Associated Press Photographers visited voters around the country, and asked them this question, "Is the economy better off?".
