#MWC14: Huawei unveils LTE-enabled devices

Barely two months after launching the 6.1-inch Ascend Mate 2 4G phone and the Tron Android game console, Huawei introduced yet another batch of mobile devices. Revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Spain, the new productsHuawei Ascend G6 4G, Huawei MediaPad X1, Huawei MediaPad M1, Huawei TalkBand B1, and Huawei E5786are all LTE-enabled.

"LTE will experience major growth in the coming three years, as the volume of high-speed networks increases and leads to a surge in mobile-data traffic," said CEO Richard Yu. "This surge, caused by increased video streaming and call usage, will require innovative, high-end 4G LTE devices, and this is a priority for Huawei in 2014."
