Krissy, explain the difference between corporate socialism and any other socialism. By your argument, you claim it is OK for the banks to socialize their losses while keeping the profits. Sounds like socialism. Second, I am not so naive to believe socialism could ever work when central banks control the global economy. Socialism could not work unless we found some utopian median where we all lived in peace. Not ever happening in my lifetime here, so socialism will never happen in my lifetime on a grand scale, at least not for people. You complain about overtime and wasted tax dollars, why wouldn't you agree that the peoples tax dollars should not be wasted on banking corporations and other companies with the political ties required to convert to bank holding companies overnight to take advantage of the free tax dollar handouts given to corporations. Shouldn't those banks have been forced into a capitalist bankruptcy? Capitalism without bankruptcy is the equivalent of Christianity without hell.

Thomas Jefferson said democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who whould not. How is it his studies in govenments, which made us the greatest, freeist nation, (if we can keep control of our government,) are ignored, when other countries and forms of governments continue to fail. Bigger governments lead to smaller men!!! Yea, and women too!!!

A misdirected effort. These fools should congregate out front of the White House. Try knocking on the door of the Fed or the SEC. They are the real "institutions" to blame.

One thumbs down, probably Tim Geithner

You're probably right, most of those folks don't know very much about the details of the financial collapse and what has happened since. But then again, you don't need to be economically literate to understand that the banks have totally screwed America's middle class for over a $1 trillion and paid it back to a government with no intention of actually using that money for the interest of the average American.

Let me get this straight. If I take a piece of private property, occupy it and hold it hostage, deny all other citizens of its use, create unsanitary conditions, disrupt commerce and disturb my neighbors, show contempt and disrespect to any form of authority, all while increasing the tax burden on my fellow citizens, it's okay because I'm a protester?

Wow. All these years we just called them criminals and treated them as such.

Fact- Frank and Dodd and Schumer created an asset bubble with help from the Fed s easy monetary policy post 9/11
Fact - Policy from Washinghton had the most to do with creating artificial wealth in the housing sector
Fact- trade imbalances allowed to much capital to comeback into the USA in terms of cheap credit to the US government which further createda sset bubbles

Conclusion - Protest should be redirected towards those that write policy not just crucifying business - its okay to be upset about situations that maynot be equitable but frustation solely at the business community is not a fix for the nation ills-

These OWS supporters on the streets with their 7 year political science degrees at some liberal university say the dumbest things. They hate big business, big banks, big military but, support big government. But, it's the first three that made this country great and financially, militarily strong. They try to convince us that is bad! Only big govt is bad, you goofs! So what if a few are unscrupulous, greedy, and sinful? That has been the case for many decades and, we are still #1. But, the big govt supporters, almost 50% of our country, are what is dragging us down and the reason we will not be #1 for much longer. All the things you libs think are bad, China does worse and meaner. All the things you hate about Christianity, Islam is far worse. You chicken-%$#@'s won't take on China or the Muslims because you are scared. You contribute nothing to this country or world but, complain, protest and have your hand's out. You are all pathetic!

"Movement in peril...?" The only movement this crew can produce consistently are bowel movements. I hear they're doing just fine on that score. Just watch where you step!

Ya know who hates the breakup of the protesters the most? THE PROTESTERS PARENTS!!!!! Now they go back home to empty their parents refrigerator, drive the family car and empty the fuel tank and not pay them back because they have no job, all hours of the day and night they are either on their Iphone, Ipad, or gaming stations, fighting with their parents because they don't want to pick up or do anything around the house, missing the toilet when they pee because they are used to peeing on the ground or in the street, and they will be looking back at all the tens of millions dollars of damages to property and businesses and smile because they "stuck it to the man". Oh by the way OWS, make sure you put your arrest record on your resume, I'm sure they will be impressed......

Right idea, wrong target! Put the white-collar criminals like Corzine in jail and stop the fleecing of the taxpayers! Hating the rich is stupid!

You cannot selectively inflate an economy. All the money is being injected into the pockets of people who are chosen by government and the reasons are always going to be inadequate. The money must be allowed to flow freely into an economy where free people work to attract those new dollars, create jobs, create wealth. Unfortunately, the government has been trying to inflate within a socialistic environment, choosing winners and losers.
  • Daxton  •  6 months ago
I'm no OWS fan, their hyper regulatory policies would actually enhance the power of the banks by making the government an insider. That said, we are missing a LOT of perp walks from the bankers and political bundlers, in fact there have been zero.

Flea Bag occupiers are backed by Oblamer, which by definition means it will fail. Every possible thing that Oblamer supports has turned into garbage. He has completely broken through the bottom of the scale for worst president in history and will likely hold that record forever.
