(Photo © Ester Meerman) The country's health ministry said that at least 149 people had been killed on Wednesday in a police raid on supporters of deposed President Mohamed Mursi at a Cairo protest camp and clashes nationwide.

writes: "Clashes erupted in several neighbourhoods in Cairo after

security forces dispersed the Muslim Brotherhood sit-ins at Rabaa Al

Adaweyya in Nasr City and Nahda Square in Giza.

Pro-Morsi supporters were quick to set up a new sit-in in front of the

Mostafa Mahmoud mosque in the Cairo neighbourhood of Mohandiseen, where

clashes erupted between protesters and riot police."
