Vt. to get more money to stem future flood damage

FILE - In this July 31, 2012, file photo, officials stand on a repaired riverbank that was damaged by Tropical Storm Irene in Braintree, Vt. The state of Vermont is in line to receive up to an estimated $4 million to help reduce future flood damage. The grants cover up to 75 percent of the costs associated with lessening the potential damage from a future flood. Projects can include flood-proofing public buildings, replacing culverts, and riverbank stabilization. (AP Photo/Toby Talbot, File)
