At the E3 Expo, Microsoft announced their new Xbox with the price tag of $499; the Xbox One will be their first new console since 2005. Sony also announced that their new model of video game console, the PlayStation 4, with price tag of $399, would go on sales later this year.
Microsoft announced that the console must be connected to the Internet every 24 hours to operate, and the system would ideally always be online. Sony said that PS4 would run second-hand games and will not require an always-on Internet connection.
