This segmentÂ’s products are primarily used in the paper, building materials, paint and coatings, glass, ceramic, polymer, food, automotive, and pharmaceutical industries. The Refractories segment manufactures and markets monolithic and shaped refractory materials, and specialty products; services, application, and measurement equipment; and calcium metal and metallurgical wire products. Its products are primarily used in high-temperature applications in the steel, non-ferrous metal, and glass industries. The company markets its products through a direct sales force and distributors. Minerals Technologies Inc. was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in New York, New York.
