It offers solutions and technologies for data centers, remote access and distributed branch office environments, mid-size server rooms for the small and medium business market, and desktop switching and universal serial bus hubs for control of desktops, small offices, and home-based businesses. LANDesk division delivers systems, security, and service management software for desktops, servers, and mobile devices across an enterprise. Its products and technologies primarily include the LANDesk Management Suite product, the LANDesk Security Suite, and LANDesk Patch Manager product software. In addition, this division provides professional services, training, maintenance, upgrade protection, and customer support offerings. Connectivity and Control provides managed audio visual infrastructure solutions for commercial digital signage, presentation, and rental and staging markets. Its Emerge product family allows industry professionals to deliver analog, IP-wired, and wireless solutions for AV extension, switching, distribution, and signal processing needs. The company offers its hardware and software products and services through its own sales force, and through original equipment manufacturers, system integrators, distributors, and reseller arrangements. Avocent was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama. |
