| BMP Sunstone Corporation, through its subsidiaries, manufactures, markets, and distributes over-the-counter (OTC) products in China. It operates in three segments: Branded OTC, Pharmaceutical Distribution, and Licensed Products. The Branded OTC segment offers Chinese brand/pediatric OTC products in various forms, including granules, chewables, and syrups under GoodBaby brand; gynecology line of suppositories under Confort brand; and OTC line of womens health products under Nemei brand. This segment primarily manufactures and sells branded products into the retail pharmacy supply chain. The Pharmaceutical Distribution segment distributes pharmaceutical products, including western medicines, Chinese medicines, bio-chemical medicines, and medical applications through a distribution network of hospitals and pharmacies. It involves in warehousing and distributing pharmaceutical drugs, including brand name and generic pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter healthcare products, and home healthcare supplies and equipment to various healthcare providers. This segment distributes various products, including Glurenorm, an oral antidiabetic medication; Xingnaojing, an injectible medication for the treatment of strokes; ferrous succinate tablets to prevent and treat anemia; Anpo, a muscle relaxant; and Propess, a vaginal insert used to ripen the cervix in preparation for childbirth. It serves pharmaceutical manufacturers and healthcare providers in the pharmaceutical supply channel. The Licensed Products segment markets licensed prescription drugs to healthcare providers of prescription drugs. It offers academic and physician-oriented marketing services; and clinical and regulatory services, including pre-market entry analysis and product registration services. BMP Sunstone was formerly known as Beijing Med-Pharm Corporation and changed its name to BMP Sunstone Corporation in February 2008. The company was incorporated in 2003 and is headquartered in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. |
