The company’s Industrial Specialties segment produces emulsions and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) performance polymers. This segment offers vinyl acetate-based emulsions for use in paints and coatings, adhesives, construction, glass fiber, textiles, and paper applications; EVA resins and compounds for use in flexible packaging films, lamination film products, hot melt adhesives, medical products, automotive, carpeting, and photovoltaic cells applications. Its Acetyl Intermediates segment offers acetyl products, including acetic acids, vinyl acetate monomers, acetic anhydride, and acetate esters for use as starting materials for colorants, paints, adhesives, coatings, and pharmaceuticals. The company also provides organic solvents and intermediates for pharmaceutical, agricultural, and chemical products. It has a strategic alliance with Airborne Oil & Gas to develop and supply composite materials for deepwater oil and gas pipelines. The company was founded in 1918 and is headquartered in Irving, Texas.
