| CorVel Corporation provides medical cost containment and managed care services to manage the medical costs of workers compensation and other healthcare benefits primarily for coverage under group health and auto insurance policies. The company offers network solutions, including MedCheck, an automated medical bill review service for the review of medical charges under certain non-workers compensation insurance coverages; CorCare, a preferred provider network, which provides access to a group of hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers that offer services at pre-negotiated rates to employee groups; and MedCheck Select, a retrospective utilization service for medical bills, including PPO management, medical bill re-pricing, line-item bill review, nurse review, diagnosis related group validation, and fee negotiation. In addition, CorVel offers patient management services, including medical case and telephonic case management, early intervention, claims administration, utilization management, pre-certification of hospitalization, inpatient utilization review, vocational rehabilitation, life care planning, Medicare set-asides, and critical stress incident debrief services. Further, the company provides CareMC, an application platform that offers online request services, manage files throughout the life of the claim, receive and relay case notes from case managers, and integrate information from multiple claims management sources; and various directed care services, including independent medical examinations, diagnostic imaging, transportation and translation, and durable medical equipment.
