| CVD Equipment Corporation manufactures chemical vapor deposition equipment and gas control systems the United States and internationally. It also provides process equipment for the synthesis of one-dimensional nanostructures and nanomaterials; and furnaces, which are used primarily to produce semiconductors and other electronic components. The companys CVD/First Nano division provides chemical vapor deposition systems for use in the research, development, and manufacture of semiconductors, LEDs, carbon nanotubes, nanowires, solar cells, and for various industrial applications. Its SDC division designs and manufactures ultra-high purity gas and chemical delivery control systems for semiconductor fabrication processes, solar cells, LEDs, carbon nanotubes, nanowires, and various industrial applications. The companys Conceptronic division designs and manufactures reflow ovens and rework stations to melt solder in a controlled process to form superior connections between components for the printed circuit board assembly and semi-conductor packaging industries. In addition, it provides rapid thermal processing systems for implant activation, oxidation, and silicide formation; and annealing and diffusion furnaces for diffusion, oxidation, implant anneal, solder reflow, and solar cell manufacturing processes. Further, the company offers fabricated quartz ware used in its equipment and other tools; and repair and replacement of quartz ware. It sells its products primarily to semiconductor manufacturers; institutions involved in semiconductor and electronic component research, such as universities, government, and industrial laboratories; and electronic assembly manufacturers. The company markets its products directly, as well as through a network of domestic and international sale representatives and distributors.
